About the role
As a proactive System Administrator with working knowledge of DevOps tools, AWS cloud infrastructure, and Linux systems, your main responsibility will be to provide support for hardware-level troubleshooting and infrastructure setup. This hybrid role requires hands-on technical expertise across both software and hardware systems to ensure smooth IT operations and efficient deployment processes. Key Responsibilities: - Perform system installations, upgrades, and hardware diagnostics. - Troubleshoot network devices, desktop/laptop issues, printers, and peripheral devices. - Maintain inventory and perform periodic checks on physical IT assets. - Support office/remote setups including VPN, firewalls, routers, and access points. - Coordinate with vendors for procurement and repairs of hardware components. - Manage, monitor, and maintain Linux-based servers and virtual machines. - Set up and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.). - Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes. - Manage version control using Git and support development teams in DevOps tasks. - Monitor server performance, uptime, and system logs; handle outages and system issues. - Enforce security best practices across cloud and on-prem environments. Qualifications Required: - 6 months to 1.5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration and AWS cloud services. - Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, firewalls). - Experience with DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD, etc. - Exposure to handling IT hardware and troubleshooting physical devices. - Ability to juggle multiple tasks from server deployments to local hardware issues. Nice To Have: - Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible). - Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes is a bonus). - AWS Certification (Associate level) or Linux+ certification. - Experience working with ticketing systems like Zoho or JIRA.
