About the role
As a Web Engineering Manager at Closeloop Technologies, you will lead and mentor a cross-functional team of Frontend, Backend, DevOps, and QA engineers to deliver scalable web applications and digital platforms. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery, technical excellence, and continuous improvement in engineering processes. Your role will involve a balance of technical leadership, project execution, people management, and hands-on problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: - Engineering Leadership - Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers. - Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and career development discussions. - Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. - Provide technical guidance and support for complex engineering challenges. - Project & Delivery Management - Manage team capacity, sprint planning, resource allocation, and project execution. - Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives. - Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define priorities and roadmap execution. - Monitor project risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones. - Technical Oversight - Participate in system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making. - Guide the development of scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications. - Review code quality, engineering standards, and best practices. - Drive adoption of modern software engineering methodologies and tools. - DevOps & Operational Excellence - Oversee CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment processes. - Support production monitoring, incident management, and root-cause analysis. - Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and observability. - Promote engineering excellence through automation, testing, and process improvements. - Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering leadership. - Translate business requirements into technical solutions and execution plans. - Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations effectively. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 10+ years of software engineering experience in web or full-stack application development. - 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams in a leadership role. - Proven experience working with globally distributed teams and stakeholders. - Strong experience with: .NET / ASP.NET Core, Node.js, React.js, REST APIs & Microservices, Azure Cloud Services. - Experience with CMS platforms such as Sitecore or similar enterprise CMS solutions. - Understanding of modern web architectures including headless CMS and Jamstack concepts. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and DevOps practices. - Familiarity with performance monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
