Role Description The Point of Sale (POS) Software Tester will be responsible for testing POS applications to ensure stability, accuracy, and performance in real-world retail scenarios. Day-to-day activities include designing and executing test cases, validating functional and non-functional requirements, documenting defects, and collaborating with developers and product owners to resolve issues. The role involves performing different types of testing, such as functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing, with a strong focus on payment flows, transaction integrity, and data security. The POS Software Tester will also contribute to test planning, maintain test documentation, and provide clear reporting on test results and quality metrics. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. Qualifications Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, including understanding of testing methodologies and life cycle.Hands-on experience with Test Execution and writing structured Test Cases for POS or similar transactional systems.Demonstrated Analytical Skills for identifying issues, interpreting test results, and troubleshooting complex defects.Familiarity with POS systems, payment gateways, and retail workflows; experience in financial or retail technology is an advantage.Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, communicate findings clearly, and maintain detailed documentation.Basic knowledge of test management or bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and understanding of SDLC and agile practices.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Attention to detail, willingness to learn new tools and technologies, and commitment to maintaining high product quality. .
