The SAP QA Engineer will drive end-to-end quality assurance for SAP and related systems by implementing standardized QA processes, reusable automation, performance testing, and DR validation. The resource will ensure early risk identification ( shift-left testing), consistent documentation, and transparent reporting using enterprise QA tools and templates. Key Deliverables Standardized QA Practices: Apply approved QA processes, tools, and templates across all SAP applications, ensuring consistent test planning, execution, and sign-off workflows. Comprehensive Test Coverage: Deliver full QA/QE coverage manual, automation, and performance across SAP application layers. Reusable Automation Framework: Develop scalable, reusable automation scripts focused on critical and complex SAP functionality to support regression and CI/CD integration. Shift-Left Quality Enablement: Integrate QA early in planning and change management cycles to identify defects, dependencies, and risks before deployment. Jira-Based QA Management: Leverage Jira for all QA activities, including test case design, defect tracking, API validation, task management, and workflow automation. Maintain full traceability from requirements through release. Performance & Load Testing: Conduct effective load and performance testing using JMeter or equivalent tools, providing metrics on capacity, response times, and system scalability. Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing: Execute timely DR testing cycles with detailed test plans, scripts, execution results, and documented remediation actions. Reporting & Governance: Provide regular QA status reports outlining progress, risk assessments, and mitigation plans. Maintain dashboards and metrics for automation coverage, defect leakage, and performance outcomes in SharePoint and Power BI. Required Skills & Tool Expertise Automation: Selenium, Silk Test, Postman (API) Performance Testing: JMeter, BlazeMeter CI/CD Integration: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab QA Management & Documentation: Jira, SharePoint, Confluence AI-Enabled QA: Use AI tools within Jira for intelligent test creation and optimization Database & Data Validation: Proficiency in SQL and test data management Success Metrics & KPIs 85% automation coverage for regression and critical functionality Zero production defect leakage and unplanned rollbacks due to QA gaps 100% test traceability within Jira Regular, on-time DR and load testing cycles completed with documented results Improved cycle efficiency and visibility through standardized QA governance Behavioural competencies required: Must have worked with US/Europe based clients in onsite/offshore delivery model Should have very good verbal and written communication, technical articulation, listening and presentation skills Should have proven analytical and problem solving skills Should have demonstrated effective task prioritization, time management and internal/external stakeholder management skills Should be a quick learner and team player Should have experience of working under stringent deadlines in a Matrix organization structure Should have demonstrated appreciable Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in past organizations
