Job Title: Infrastructure Build Engineer Dept: Service Team: Design and Build Manager: UK TL Location: Ahmedabad (on-site) Operational Window & Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (UK Business Hours) Role Purpose: The Infrastructure Build Engineer focuses on designing, building, deploying, and maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring it operates efficiently and securely. They work with various technologies to support an organization's IT systems, including servers, networks, and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement infrastructure solutions, including hardware, software, and networking components Support and help with the development of junior colleagues Configure and manage physical and virtual systems, ensuring they meet the organization's needs Monitor system performance, address issues, and implement solutions to maintain infrastructure stability Work with other IT teams (like development, security, and operations) to align infrastructure with business goals Implement and maintain security measures to protect the infrastructure and data Provide clear and concise documentation for infrastructure setups and operations Identify areas for improvement and implement current technologies to optimize infrastructure performance Perform thorough testing of new deployments and changes to ensure they function as intended Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Knowledge & Skills: Operating Systems: Proficiency in managing server and client operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) Build leaders need to identify, analyse, and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle Networking: Understanding of networking protocols, technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.), and infrastructure Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
