Role Overview: You will be playing a critical role as a DBA & System Administrator for APAC Financial Services IT landscape, ensuring the availability, security, audit readiness, and operational resilience of mission-critical financial systems. Your responsibilities will include owning end-to-end application DB administration, executing financial processing, managing DB backups and refreshes, creating and maintaining database objects, and driving remediation of vulnerabilities across environments. Key Responsibilities: - Own end-to-end application DB administration for APAC Financial Services platforms, ensuring availability, performance, security, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance - Perform System Administration for FIS Asset Finance, including application services management and controlled environment operations - Execute and validate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processing - Manage production DB backups, retention, and refreshes for testing and reporting - Create and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures - Perform database performance tuning, indexing strategies, capacity planning, and HA/DR configuration - Track, analyze, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities across environments - Manage DB security including logins, roles, permissions, encryption, and segregation of duties - Administer Azure SQL DB, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs - Support Azure DB cost optimization, scaling, and performance tuning activities - Act as primary escalation point for production incidents related to DBs and application services - Troubleshoot performance, availability, deadlock, blocking, and connectivity issues - Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions during releases and deployments - Execute recurring operational data uploads Qualifications Required: - +8 years of enterprise experience as an Application DBA and System Administrator in regulated financial services environments - Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, backup & restore, HA/DR, performance tuning, and security - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Managed Instance, SQL on VM, monitoring and diagnostics) - Microsoft Azure certification (AZ-900, DP-300 or equivalent) - Experience working with Financial Services platforms (FIS Asset Finance Ambit is a plus) - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.)
