Role : Consultant – Service Now Location : Sydney Employment Type : Permanent Occupation : Software Engineer Entity Name : Coforge Technologies Pty Ltd Experience : 5+ Years Role Overview We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Consultant with strong expertise in ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Cloud Integrations . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions that improve infrastructure visibility, CMDB health, IT operations efficiency, and service governance. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, architects, infrastructure teams, and business units to deliver scalable ServiceNow implementations aligned with CSDM best practices . Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support ServiceNow ITOM solutions including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Discovery, and CMDB. Configure and maintain CMDB architecture aligned with Common Service Data Model (CSDM). Develop and enhance custom Discovery Patterns, Probes, Sensors, and Identification Rules for complex environments. Implement and optimize Discovery across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures. Configure and manage Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) for accurate CI population and deduplication. Deliver Service Mapping solutions for business-critical applications and infrastructure services. Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise monitoring and management tools. Design and support MID Server architecture, credential management, and scalability strategies. Implement Event Management integrations, alert correlation, and automated incident creation. Perform CMDB health assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Develop integrations using REST APIs, web services, and middleware technologies. Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and provide technical consulting to stakeholders. Create technical documentation, solution designs, and operational procedures. Support Agile project delivery and participate in sprint planning, development, testing, and deployments. Mentor junior consultants and provide best-practice guidance on ServiceNow platform capabilities. Required Skills & Experience ServiceNow Expertise 8+ years of ServiceNow development, administration, or consulting experience. Strong experience with: CMDB Discovery Service Mapping Event Management Cloud Discovery IT Asset Management (ITAM) ServiceNow ITSM Flow Designer Service Graph Connectors Technical Skills Strong understanding of CSDM and CMDB governance. Experience with Discovery technologies including: SNMP WMI SSH PowerShell JDBC MID Servers Experience developing custom Discovery patterns and integrations. Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and platform integrations. Understanding of ServiceNow scripting and platform customization. Cloud & Infrastructure Experience discovering and managing cloud environments including: AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, or cloud-native services is highly desirable. Monitoring & Integration Tools Experience integrating ServiceNow with tools such as: Dynatrace SCCM BMC TrueSight AppDynamics Control-M Other enterprise monitoring solutions Desired Certifications One or more of the following: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Certified Application Developer (CAD) Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery Certified Implementation Specialist – Service Mapping Certified Implementation Specialist – Event Management Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (Highly Desirable) Preferred Experience Large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementations. Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Government, or Banking environments. CSDM adoption and CMDB transformation programs. Hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments. Enterprise IT Operations Management programs.
