Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in data engineering and expertise in AWS Glue. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes to support our data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue and other ETL tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and efficiency. Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity. Work with large datasets and perform data transformations to support analytics and reporting. Document data engineering processes and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and cloud technologies. Mandatory Skills: Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on ETL processes. Strong proficiency in AWS Glue and related AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda). Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts. Ability to work with large datasets and perform data transformations. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Experience with Python or Scala for data processing. Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with Apache Spark or similar big data technologies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git). Understanding of data governance and compliance standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role. Strong analytical and communication skills.
