Technical Lead – Identity & Access Management (Okta) We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead to spearhead our Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives with a primary focus on Okta. In this role, you will architect and guide the implementation of secure authentication and authorization solutions using OIDC and SAML standards, ensuring robust security and seamless user experiences across our enterprise. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of Okta-based IAM solutions, leveraging OIDC and SAML protocols. Serve as the primary technical authority on Okta integrations, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Lifecycle Management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, infrastructure, application development) to define IAM roadmaps, standards, and best practices. Conduct technical reviews, code reviews, and security assessments to ensure compliance with industry and organizational standards. Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Oversee incident response and troubleshooting for IAM-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution. Evaluate emerging IAM technologies and recommend enhancements to strengthen security posture and improve user experience. Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures to support ongoing maintenance and audit requirements. Requirements: 5–12 years of overall IT experience with at least 3 years in Identity and Access Management (IAM). Proven expertise in Okta administration, configuration, and customization. Strong hands-on experience with OIDC and SAML protocols, including troubleshooting authentication flows. Okta Certified Professional or higher (e.g., Administrator, Consultant, or Developer). Solid understanding of security best practices, encryption, and authentication standards. Experience leading technical teams and driving large-scale IAM projects from concept to production. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PowerShell) for automation and customization. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Nice to Have: Experience integrating Okta with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of SCIM provisioning, API Access Management, and advanced Okta features. Familiarity with other IAM solutions (e.g., Ping Identity, Azure AD, Auth0) for hybrid or migration scenarios. Background in DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) in addition to Okta certifications.
