About the role
About the Role We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to design and build real-time inspection systems for industrial and manufacturing applications. You will work hands-on with cameras, image processing, and deep learning to detect defects, verify dimensions, and inspect components on the production line and deploy these systems at client plants. Key Responsibilities Design and develop real-time computer vision systems for automated inspection of objects on the production line. Build inspection pipelines for PCB inspection, surface defect detection, and dimensional inspection. Work with industrial/machine vision cameras, vision sensors, and CCTV/IP (RTSP) cameras including integration, calibration, lighting, and triggering. Develop and optimize models and algorithms (YOLO, OpenCV-based) to run reliably in real time on the shop floor. Implement explicit PASS / FAIL (OK / Not-OK) logic based on client quality criteria. Build inspection dashboards/UI to display live results and defects to operators. Support hardware selection (cameras, lenses, lighting) and in office deployment and commissioning. Required Skills Strong programming skills in Python. Solid experience with OpenCV and image processing (thresholding, contour analysis, alignment, measurement). Hands-on deep learning experience object detection and classification (YOLO, CNNs; PyTorch/TensorFlow). Experience working with industrial cameras (GigE / USB3 machine vision, e.g. FLIR) and IP/CCTV cameras via RTSP. Ability to build and optimize real-time inspection pipelines. Understanding of PCB inspection, defect inspection, and dimensional measurement. Positive to Have Experience building UI/dashboards (Flask, PyQt5). Edge deployment experience (e.g. NVIDIA Jetson). Exposure to industrial automation (PLC, sensors, pneumatic rejection). Background in electronics or automotive manufacturing. Qualifications B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
