Sr.Functional Analyst (ISG)

Cognizant is hiring for the position of Sr. Functional Analyst (ISG)! Responsibilities of the Candidate: Collaborate with R&D stakeholders to analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications for laboratory informatics solutions (Empower, Labvantage, Labware, Labware ELN). Design and execute end-to-end functional test strategies, defining test objectives, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria to ensure compliance, data integrity, and system reliability. Coordinate functional testing cycles by preparing test data, executing test scripts, and documenting traceable test evidence for validation outcomes. Review and validate laboratory and manufacturing process maps with business teams to identify process gaps and operational improvement opportunities. Assess the impact of laboratory system enhancements on downstream supply chain and manufacturing processes to maintain resilient data flows and interfaces. Conduct root cause analysis on production incidents and defects in Empower, Labvantage, Labware, and Labware ELN platforms, proposing corrective actions and validating fixes. Prepare comprehensive functional documentation, including user requirements, functional specifications, and validation summary reports for audit readiness. Support functional setup and configuration of Labware and Labware ELN modules (workflows, forms, calculations, and integrations). Provide guidance and mentoring to junior analysts and testers on best practices in laboratory informatics functional testing and verification/validation. Requirements: Extensive experience in Life Sciences (LS) R&D verification and validation, with a solid understanding of validation principles, test documentation, and GxP/compliance practices. Proficient hands-on experience in functional testing of laboratory systems, including Empower, Labvantage, Labware, and Labware ELN. Solid knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain domain processes to interpret the impact of laboratory data changes on production planning, quality release, and inventory. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with global cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment. High attention to detail with structured documentation habits (traceable requirements, test evidence, and audit reports). Familiarity with SDLC and Agile delivery frameworks (sprint planning, backlog refinement, review sessions).
