Java Developer

As a Java Developer at Cognyte, you will be part of a global team working on unique solutions that enable customers to prevent criminal, terror, and security threats worldwide. Your role will involve collaborating with expert colleagues to develop state-of-the-art security technologies that contribute to making the world a safer place. Key Responsibilities: - Function as a major part of a cross-functional high performing agile application development team - Build, design, and develop Java components and microservices over a distributed environment in a cloud-native system, focusing on high availability, low latency, scalability, and high throughput - Collaborate closely with global development teams, product owners, architects, and system integration engineers to identify and solve challenging problems Qualifications Required: - BSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent - Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in back-end software development of high-performance complex systems - Background in server-side development in Java 8 and related technologies like JBoss and Spring - Experience with concepts such as multithreading, REST, web-sockets, and application servers - Experience with developing microservices in cloud environments - Familiarity with automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Gauge - Good understanding of the entire web development process, including design, deployment, CI/CD processes, automation, build, and release flows - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Additionally, experience with software deployment containers such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and web development technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, NodeJS, and React would be an advantage.
