About the role
Role Overview: As a Sr. Business Specialist at Colgate-Palmolive Company, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the core SAP ERP backend and the wider enterprise ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to design, build, and maintain custom SAP S/4HANA applications while ensuring compliance with "Clean Core" extension approaches. By leveraging your technical expertise, you will contribute to the development of robust integration frameworks that align with long-term strategic business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Development & Modernization: Design, develop, and maintain complex RICEFW objects using Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP), ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP Cloud development models (RAP/CAP) to ensure Clean Core compliance. - Integration & Architecture: Design and build robust OData services, custom APIs, and integration flows (iFlows) within SAP BTP / SAP Integration Suite to facilitate seamless connectivity between SAP and third-party systems. - Governance & Optimization: Drive performance tuning, troubleshooting, and code reviews while enforcing technical standards and change control to ensure platform stability and upgrade compatibility. - Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with IT Functional teams, Power Users, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate technical architectures into actionable designs and guide decisions on building in the ERP core vs. the integration layer. - Service Delivery & Operations: Support daily business requirements and production reliability in adherence to global SLAs, proactively monitoring, debugging, and resolving issues within the S/4HANA Private Cloud environment. Qualification Required: - Education: Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Technologies, or a related technical field. - Core Development Experience: 8+ years of hands-on SAP technical development experience with expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, Enhancement Framework, CDS Views, and ABAP Development Tools. - Modern Frameworks: Proficiency in S/4HANA Private Cloud environments, Clean Core extension approaches, RAP/CDS models, and SAP Fiori/UI5 integration. - Interfaces & Middleware: Experience in designing interfaces (IDoc, RFC, Web Services, OData) and managing secure integrations using standard SAP objects and custom mappings. - Professional Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-system debugging skills with excellent written, verbal, and business presentation communication skills.
