Senior Software Architect

As a Software Architect at Collatzinc Private Limited in Kolkata, you will play a key role in leading architecture and technical decision-making for client and product engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures. - Leading system design, API, database, cloud, and integration decisions. - Reviewing technical approaches, identifying risks, and guiding implementation. - Creating architecture documentation and technical specifications. - Supporting technical discovery, estimation, and client discussions. - Mentoring engineering teams and driving architecture best practices. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture. - Strong backend expertise in Node.js, Python, PHP/Laravel, or similar technologies. - Good understanding of modern frontend architecture (React, Vue, Angular, TypeScript). - Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and distributed systems. - Strong knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, data modelling, and performance optimization. - Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong understanding of scalability, security, reliability, and system performance. - Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. It would be beneficial if you have experience in software services, consulting, or client-facing roles, exposure to AI/ML integrations, ERP systems, SaaS platforms, or automation solutions, and have worked with international clients. This role is not suitable for individuals whose experience is primarily in project or delivery management, those who focus solely on architecture documentation without implementation, or those unable to review code, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and performance issues.
