About the role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in the energy sector to lead and coordinate our multidisciplinary engineering teams. This role will focus on enhancing collaboration between our Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality outputs. Own and elevate CRA entire mechanical design and engineering function ensuring every deliverable is on time, cost-aligned, production-ready, and client-compliant. Build a high-performance team, enforce engineering rigor, and drive R&D/NPD initiatives. Responsibilities: Lead the Design & Engineering team: Associate, Designer, and Senior Designer roles Translate process design into structured engineering deliverables: layout, mechanical, BOM, and compliance Set and enforce design standards, release workflows, and BOM coordination mechanisms Interface with project, procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless hand-off Oversee simulation, virtual validation, and engineering analysis (e.g., FEA or DFM reviews) Lead technical troubleshooting and support root cause analysis in manufacturing or site issues Mentor the team, conduct performance reviews, and define training/upskilling programs Support commercial teams with inputs for proposals, compliance statements, and client submissions Spearhead R&D and NPD initiatives to support CRA product innovation goals Requirements 10+ years in mechanical design and engineering, ideally incustom or process-based equipment Proven team leadership experience; ability to build andmanage multidisciplinary design functions Deep understanding of fabrication, standards, andplant/mechanical systems Experience with design tools: AutoCAD, Plant 3D,SolidWorks/Inventor, and FEA platforms Strong coordination ability across functions (project,production, procurement, quality, clients) Exposure to simulation/virtual validation and standards likeASME, ISO, EN 13480, etc.
