As a DevOps Engineer in the Unified Communications Engineering team at Comcast, you will play a key role in building and optimizing secure, reliable, scalable, and robust systems for the Device & Test automation platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process. - Implementing monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the availability, performance, and security of systems. - Troubleshooting issues related to deployments, performance, and scalability. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on DevOps best practices and standards. - Staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, containerization, and cloud computing. Qualifications required for this role include: - Technical expertise in deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems such as Openstack, Redhat Virtualization, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. - Experience with configuration management and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible. - Proficiency in programming or scripting languages like Python. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Concourse, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI. - Expertise in Logging and Monitoring tools, e.g., Splunk, Elk, Grafana, Nagios, OP5. - Experience with upgrading and patching Operating Systems, as well as working knowledge of scripting languages like LUA or Python. - Experience in applications support and debugging.
