Senior Software Engineer

Job Description we are looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer who can lead the development of a next generation mail and collaboration apps using Java Script. This is an exciting opportunity, where you are leading the development of new Blackberry products. It will allow you to stretch your technical skills and provide an opportunity to work on new and exciting technologies. This is a unique opportunity to influence the product features and roadmap working alongside with product management, SDK team and other collaboration apps. Duties and responsibilities: · Designing, Developing and Testing browser-based JavaScript applications · Participating in architecture, design, coding and security reviews for the application and suggest improvements · Lead a team of software engineers for developing and verifying features · Working with the engineering manager and product manager for scoping features for releases identifying the dependencies. · Working with the cross functional and distributed teams · Working closely with Quality teams for fixing the defects and support product verification. · Working with support team to resolve customer issues and escalations Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience · A degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent · 8-10 years of programming experience in one or more languages JS and Java · Experience in using JS frameworks – React, Angular, Vue etc · Exposure to material design and leveraging component libraries · Experienced in multi-threading, multi-processing and asynchronous programming paradigms · Good understanding of data structures and algorithms · Proficient in network layers and protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, SSL) · Experience in iterative development and agile methodology · Security software experience is highly desired Others You love developing application using JS frameworks and source libraries You are passionate about solving hard engineering problems and coming up with elegant solutions You act like an owner and strive to do work you're proud of, both technically and in your team interactions You are able to inspire other people to work with you, and you enjoy collaborating and coaching other engineers
