Job Details Role: Oracle DBAL2 Location: Thane Desired Experience Range: 4 to 6 Years Reports to: Database Administrator (L2) OnSite Opportunity: Yes Various Database Technologies (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL) can be learned or supported. Project: ICC shared support project supporting multiple clients involving various database technologies. Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral) MustHave: Handson Oracle administration activities such as creating schemas, grants, space management, and housekeeping. Handson Oracle installation/upgradation/patching. Knowledge about RAC configuration. Data Guard configuration and troubleshooting. Readiness to work in a 24x7 environment. GoodtoHave: Oracle 11g/12c/19c OCP certification. Handson Oracle RAC setup. Oracle Data Guard Setup. Golden Gate implementation. Migration of onprem DB to Cloud platform. Managing PaaS DB Services. Backup and restoration of PaaS DB. Responsibilities Database administration activities monitoring DB parameters, user creation, DB creation, tablespace management, logshipping configuration, DB hardening, patching, and supporting audit processes. Troubleshooting DB related issues reported by application users and performing DB performance analysis. Working proactively to find solutions or improvement options. Taking ownership of any activity assigned. Maintaining good understanding and collaboration among team members. Requirements Oracle DBA must have knowledge of Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c or newer versions. The role includes owning, tracking and resolving databaserelated incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs, reviewing servicerelated requests (e.g., database backups, maintenance, monitoring) daily to ensure issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs. The DBA will also respond to database alerts and escalations and work with database installation, configuration, and maintenance. .
