About the role An international consulting company serving clients across distribution, IT services, and finance is building a modern data and AI platform, and we are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to own the inventory, supply chain, and planning data behind it. You will turn ERP operational data and external signals into decision-grade datasets for S&OP;, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization working primarily in Snowflake, alongside ERP, BI, and analytics teams. This is a permanent, build-focused role. Role & responsibilities: - Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting ERP operational data purchase orders, inventory movements, goods receipts, supplier master, intercompany flows into Snowflake - Model supply chain and inventory domains: stock positions, lead times, demand history, fill rates, days-of-supply, and aging - Engineer the data foundations for S&OP;, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization use cases - Build curated, governed datasets feeding BI dashboards for supply chain, planning, and operations stakeholders - Integrate third-party and event-driven sources (logistics, supplier feeds, EDI flows) into centralized operational models - Develop feature pipelines for forecasting, anomaly detection, and inventory ML models in partnership with analytics teams - Implement data quality, reconciliation, and lineage tracking for high-stakes operational and inventory data Preferred candidate profile: - 2+ years of hands-on data engineering, ideally with supply chain, inventory, manufacturing, or operations data - Strong SQL and Python; production ETL/ELT experience - Hands-on Snowflake: modeling, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Agile Tables, cost optimization - Experience integrating ERP operational data from a major enterprise ERP platform into an analytics environment - Working knowledge of supply chain concepts: demand planning, S&OP;, safety stock, lead time, fill rate, days-of-supply - Familiarity with orchestration (dbt, Airflow, Prefect) and BI delivery - Must be able to work on-site in Delhi or Hyderabad Global footprint with offices in Canada, Europe, Singapore, and India.
