About the role
As a Senior Research Scientist focusing on Product Growth & Impact Analysis, you will play a crucial role in leveraging complex data to drive growth opportunities, enhance user engagement, and improve the adaptive learning platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing advanced statistical models to understand student learning behaviors, profile skills, and tailor personalized product experiences for increased engagement and mastery. - Conducting comprehensive exploratory data analysis on large educational datasets to identify patterns and insights that can inform actionable product strategies and growth opportunities. - Developing and validating multivariate models to evaluate the effectiveness of product interventions and guide data-driven product iteration. In addition to the above key responsibilities, you will also lead the optimization of Computerised Adaptive Testing (CAT) algorithms and personalized learning pathways to maximize user engagement and learning efficacy. Collaborating with Psychometricians and Technology teams, you will integrate psychometric frameworks with machine learning methods to enhance content recommendation systems and drive product growth. Furthermore, you will act as a strategic data partner for various teams such as Product, Engineering, Instructional Design, and Marketing, embedding data-driven insights into product roadmaps and growth initiatives. Your role will involve championing data literacy, fostering a culture of experimentation, and leading a team of researchers towards technical excellence and continuous improvement. To excel in this role, you are required to have a PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, along with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in data science, including leadership experience in driving data-driven product growth initiatives. Your track record should demonstrate proficiency in statistical modeling, data analytics, A/B testing, and experimental design within an EdTech or adaptive learning environment. Your expertise in hypothesis generation, experimental design, and communication skills will be essential in translating complex data into actionable insights that drive product decisions and strategies. Additionally, your familiarity with key technologies and methodologies such as A/B Testing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Visualization tools like PowerBI/Quicksight will be valuable in your role.
