About the role
Job Title: Staff Software engineer- Data Architect Summary: We are seeking an experienced software Engineer design, build, and scale modern data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and regulatory use cases in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, dbt Cloud, Apache Airflow, and AWS-based data ingestion, and a strong understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers). Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services, Airflow, dbt Cloud, and Snowflake Implement and govern Medallion Architecture: Bronze: Raw ingestion and landing Silver: Cleansed, conformed, and enriched datasets Gold: Analytics-ready, business-curated data models Build robust data ingestion frameworks leveraging AWS services such as: S3, Lambda, Glue, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, Kafka Develop ELT pipelines using dbt Cloud for transformations, testing, documentation, and version control Orchestrate workflows and dependencies using Apache Airflow Partner with Product, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams to deliver trusted data products Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability through testing, monitoring, and alerting Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workloads Enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards (PII, SOX, GDPR, PCI where applicable) Required Skills & Qualifications Snowflake Data modeling, performance tuning, streams & tasks, secure views dbt Cloud Models, tests, macros, documentation, environments, CI Apache Airflow DAG design, scheduling, monitoring, and error handling AWS Data Services : S3, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, IAM Strong experience with SQL and Python Hands-on experience with Medallion / Lakehouse Architecture Experience handling batch and near-real-time ingestion Version control (Git), CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code exposure Banking / Domain Experience (Must-Have) Experience working with banking or financial services data such as: Transactions, payments, accounts, loans, risk, fraud, regulatory reporting Strong understanding of: Data controls, auditability, reconciliation Regulatory and compliance requirements Experience handling sensitive data (PII) with strong security practices Nice to Have Kafka / MSK Exposure to semantic layers (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) Knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Unity Catalog, OpenMetadata) Cloud certification (AWS / Snowflake) Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work in Agile / POD-based teams Ownership mindset with attention to detail and data quality Disclaimer : This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
