About the role
Application Development: Collaborate with the product team to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, test, and deploy Android applications using Java or Kotlin programming languages. Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance of the applications. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the Android development ecosystem and guide the team accordingly. Architecture and Design: Architect and design robust, scalable, and maintainable Android applications. Implement design patterns and architectural principles to ensure modularity, reusability, and testability of the codebase. Collaborate with backend developers to define and implement APIs for seamless integration. Quality Assurance: Write unit tests, conduct code reviews, and perform debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix defects. Collaborate with QA engineers to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring the quality and reliability of the applications. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the application. Optimize memory management, network usage, and battery consumption. Conduct profiling and code analysis to improve overall application performance. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, backend developers, and QA engineers, to understand requirements and ensure smooth integration and delivery of features. Clearly communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies. Share knowledge and best practices with the team. Identify areas of improvement in the development process and propose innovative solutions. Documentation: Document technical specifications, architecture, and development processes. Create and maintain project documentation, including user guides and release notes.
