About the role
Your tasks will include: Create and own software quality assurance process adhering to ISO 25010 and V-model. Develop and execute test strategies and plans with test engineers for the validation of hardware and firmware to ensure compliance with performance, reliability and safety requirements Lead firmware quality assurance department with scope for future direct reporting. Perform and coordinate functional, stress and environmental testing on hardware components and embedded firmware systems for variable speed drives Collaborate with hardware and firmware development teams to define quality requirements and ensure that Design for Testability (DfT) principles are considered Perform manual and automated testing of firmware functions, control algorithms and hardware components to verify behavior under real-world conditions Analyze test results to determine root cause of issues and work closely with development teams to drive corrective actions and process improvements Continuously improve the test methodology in collaboration with regional labs and test engineers to ensure consistency and adherence to the highest quality standards Document test results, provide detailed reports, and ensure traceability of requirements, test cases and outcomes throughout the product lifecycle Ideally you will bring: You hold a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a closely related field Minimum 10 years of experience in hardware and firmware quality assurance, preferably in variable speed drive or power electronics applications Firmware (Software) C-Code & Programming Embedded C is must, Python Scripting is good to have, hardware testing knowledge is good to have, Team Lead Experience is good to have Strong knowledge of V-model process and ISO 25010 ISTQB Advanced Certificated is preferred Strong knowledge of testing methodologies for hardware and embedded systems, including functional, regression and environmental testing Experience with firmware validation, including testing of motor control algorithms, communication protocols and safety-critical functions MATLAB & SIMULINK working knowledge is must Knowledge of industry standards related to quality, reliability, and safety (e.g., IEC 61800, ISO 25010, UL). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Intercultural competence, assertiveness, proactivity and the ability to work independently Solid spoken and written English skills, the ability to communicate ideas effectively in a professional environment and a good understanding of industry-specific terminology
