About the role
As a Shop Drawing Specialist, your role involves preparing detailed shop drawings based on architectural blueprints and RCPs. You will be responsible for developing specialized mould and formwork drawings for Glass Reinforced Concrete and Fiber Reinforced Plastic casting requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Design structural fixing details and support systems like MS/SS frameworks to ensure secure on-site installation. - Perform site surveys, take accurate measurements, and integrate "as-built" conditions into final production drawings. - Generate precise Bill of Materials (BOM) and weight calculations for logistics and material procurement. - Create 3D models for complex architectural geometries to verify fitment and aesthetics. - Coordinate with structural engineers to ensure panel thickness and reinforcement meet safety standards. - Maintain a drawing register for version control and ensure the use of latest approved revisions. - Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support during installation. - Review architectural specifications to align material finishes and joint details with the clients vision. - Prepare "As-Built" drawings post-project completion to document any deviations during site installation. - Utilize AutoCAD 2D and 3D software as the primary drafting tool, integrating with Rhino or Revit for advanced 3D surfacing.
