You will play a key role in developing Power BI models and dashboards, supporting ad-hoc analysis, ensuring data accuracy, and strengthening our reporting capabilities across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models aligned with business needs. Administer changes to existing reports and proactively improve structure, performance, and usability. Manage and prioritize incoming requests and inquiries across shared communication channelsincluding the teams reporting support inbox and project management toolsto ensure timely and organized response handling. Demonstrate resourcefulness in independently troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, including data model inconsistencies, DAX errors, and gateway refresh failures. Manage row-level security (RLS) in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. Extract, validate, and transform data using T-SQL queries in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). Communicate clearly and professionally with sales, operations, and leadership stakeholders across global regions. Handle multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables. Apply extreme attention to detail when preparing datasets, validating metrics, and designing visuals. Produce dashboards and report layouts using strong visual presentation skills, ensuring clarity, consistency, and ease of interpretation. Maintain structured documentation for datasets, data models, refresh schedules, and report changes. Respond promptly and effectively to ad-hoc data requests, report access inquiries, and system issues. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, including advanced DAX, semantic modeling, and visualization. Proficiency with T-SQL and relational database querying. Clear and concise communication skills, able to convey complex topics in simple terms. Highly organized and self-directed, with strong ownership of assigned tasks. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively while maintaining quality. Extreme attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and precision across all deliverables. Experience working with global stakeholders and supporting cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot Power BI issues independently and identify root causes. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting commercial, sales, or operational reporting. Familiarity with Power Query (M), advanced modeling techniques, and performance optimization. Experience with data governance concepts and enterprise BI best practices. Work Schedule Working hours will be set by the local Chennai leadership team in alignment with business needs.
