Lead Network Reliability Engineer

Job Description: Role Overview: Coupa, a leading total spend management platform, is looking for a Lead Network Reliability Engineer to join their high-growth SaaS company. As a part of the Network Reliability Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in transforming and scaling their cloud platform. With an automation-first approach, you will architect solutions for a massive-scale cloud networking infrastructure, contributing to the company's major growth phase. Key Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, automate, and support network solutions in a massive-scale public cloud environment (AWS and Azure) - Utilize application and network security tooling, such as next-generation firewalls and IDS/IPS - Deploy VM-based (Palo Alto Network Firewall, Fortinet, CheckPoint) and Cloud Native (AWS/Azure/GCP) Firewalls for enterprise organizations - Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of networks and protocols, including TLS, DNS, and BGP - Develop roadmaps using established public cloud design standards - Participate in design reviews, provide network support and leadership to the Engineering organization - Bring a development mindset in managing network infrastructure as code, elimination of toil, and a strong sense of accountability and service ownership - Evaluate, specify, implement, and support network performance, capacity, and availability monitoring tools - Help grow the global network function, onboard new network development engineers, provide technical leadership, and set the team direction - Stay up to date with the latest developments in network infrastructure, networking with peers, and attending industry events - Participate in an on-call rotation as required - Occasionally travel as needed to perform the job function Qualifications Required: - Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of professional experience, including experience in an enterprise SaaS organization - Expertise in Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, DNS, BGP, and Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) network constructs - Experience in both data center and cloud environments, deploying physical network and security devices, as well as cloud networking solutions - Proficiency in coding using Python, Java, Ruby, or equivalent languages - Familiarity with deploying cloud network infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation or experience with Chef & Ansible - Strong problem-solving skills, passion for excellence, and critical thinking ability - Solid understanding of networking systems and protocols, particularly in a public cloud environment - Desire to work in a collaborative and supportive work environment - Experience in DNS and Mail hosting from a provider perspective - Knowledge of security and certificate management - Relevant operating system, networking, and cloud certifications Note: Coupa upholds equal opportunity and offers an inclusive work environment.
