Hi, We have vacancy for HVAC Engineer for our Client at Nagpur location. Immediate joining is required. Job description: Qualification : B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Experience : 4+ years of Relevant Experience. Job Location : Nagpur. Job Description A Senior Design Engineer specializing in central air conditioning systems leads the conceptualization, calculation, and drafting of large-scale HVAC systems. They conduct heat load calculations, select primary equipment (Chillers, VRVs, AHUs, TFAs), design piping and ducting networks, and oversee compliance with ASHRAE and ISHRAE standards. 1) Key Responsibilities: A) Load Calculations & Sizing: Perform rigorous heat load calculations using software like HAP or Carrier E20. B) Equipment Selection: Select optimal HVAC components based on calculations: I) Chillers & Pumps: Choose water-cooled or air-cooled chillers, cooling towers, primary/secondary chilled water pumps, and expansion tanks. II) VRV / VRF: Layout modular indoor/outdoor Variable Refrigerant Volume units for zoning, Indoor unit selection, circuit design. III) AHU & TFA: Size Air Handling Units and Treated Fresh Air units for indoor air quality and ventilation. C) System Design & Drawings: Oversee and review 2D/3D schematics in AutoCAD and Revit MEP. Determine duct static pressure, friction loss, and hydraulic chilled water pipe sizing, preparation of conceptual drawing, detailed working/coordinated drawings & as bult drawings. D) Tendering & BOQ: Draft & validate technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates. Freeze the copper piping sizes & all low side item specifications. Take-up with different suppliers & get the offer for each individual items. E) Ventilation System (Basement ventilation & staircase and lift pressurization system) : Design calculations, conceptual drawing, detailed working/coordinated drawings & as bult drawings. Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates. Freeze all low side item specifications. Take-up with different suppliers & get the offer for each individual items. F) Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs strictly adhere to ASHRAE, ISHRAE, and local building codes. G) Team Leadership & Coordination: Guide junior engineers and draftsmen. Collaborate with architects and project managers to resolve clashes. H) Technical meeting with client : Wherever necessary during technical meeting/bid. I) Instructions to purchase team: With itemwise required technical specs & backup offer. 2) Qualifications & Requirements A) Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. B) Experience: Typically 5 to 10+ years of progressive experience in HVAC design consulting or MEP contracting. C) Software Skills: High proficiency in HAP, AutoCAD, Revit MEP and MS Office.
