As a Technical Lead in software development, you will provide technical expertise to independently solve complex software engineering problems and align solutions with company goals and product strategies. Your judgment, creativity, and technical knowledge will be crucial in recommending solutions for new products, upgrades, enhancements, or fixes. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing standards for code review, quality, storage, access, and efficiency. - Coaching and mentoring the team on software best practices such as design, coding, troubleshooting, work breakdown, estimation, refactor strategies, and automated testing. - Handling 80% hands-on work individually and guiding a team of 3-4 developers to overcome technical impediments. - Understanding existing application architectures and proposing future solutions. - Communicating effectively with management, technical support colleagues, and presenting to executives. - Building application packages, databases, front-ends, and middleware to optimize implementations. - Specifying non-functional software requirements and analyzing design feasibility within time and cost constraints. - Estimating software development timelines, actively managing risks, and adapting to changing requirements. - Designing and updating software databases, software applications, web sites, data communication processes, and user interfaces. - Participating in requirement gathering, analysis, and design processes. - Testing, maintaining, and suggesting software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization. - Installing, customizing, and integrating commercial software packages independently. - Facilitating root cause analysis of system issues and proposing ideas to enhance system performance and availability. - Resolving complex technical design issues and developing technical specifications and plans. - Analyzing user requirements and translating them into design documents. - Making sound technical decisions to address business challenges. - Providing comprehensive support to internal customers and ensuring timely documentation and reports. - Staying updated on technological developments in the industry and demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Effectively multitasking and transitioning between tasks without compromising efficiency.
