About the role
As a Junior QA, your role involves working in the Western line from Churchgate to Virar on a full-time basis from the office. You are expected to have an educational background in BSC IT, BCA, or MSC IT, with 0-2 years of experience. Your responsibilities include: - Following daily standup meetings and updating the Team Lead (TL) and Head of Department (HOD) - Adhering to the QA process, checklist, and ensuring all pointers are covered - Completing tasks within the assigned timelines - Reporting and reviewing bugs on the project management tool - Creating and updating test cases for each project, getting them reviewed by QA TL and HOD - Explaining and reproducing defects in front of developers when required - Conducting manual testing, regression testing, and ad hoc testing as needed - Debugging issues using tools like Android Studio, database, and Postman to identify the root cause - Highlighting any identified impacts or risks in the project to QA TL and HOD - Conducting Load Testing and VAPT tests, providing results for the same - Sharing QA sign-off reports with QA TL and HOD upon project completion and closure of all defects - Collaborating with other departments to ensure project delivery as per requirements - Adhering to all company policies and demonstrating self-learning capabilities - Participating in fortnightly review meetings with the internal team and reporting to the QA Lead and QA Head You are expected to have knowledge of bug tracking tools, MySQL/Database, manual and automated testing tools, and experience in Load Testing and VAPT testing would be advantageous. Your ability to work seamlessly with other departments and show self-learning capabilities will be essential for success in this role.
