BI Engineering - SQL/ETL (India)

Role & Responsibilities : - Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that enable business decision-making across the organization. - Rebuild and modernize 1,000 legacy reporting assets, including migration of Cognos reports to Power BI and development of analytical outputs directly from Databricks. - Develop robust Power BI data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and interactive visualizations following best practices. - Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve data from the up-to-date Azure data platform, including Databricks Delta tables. - Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks. - Develop scalable data transformation solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python. - Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems to create reliable and high-quality datasets for reporting and analytics. - Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. - Work with large datasets to ensure data accuracy, governance, performance optimization, and report reliability. - Continuously improve reporting and data engineering processes through performance tuning and cost optimization across Azure services. - Implement standardized development practices, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and version control using Azure DevOps. - Work within Agile/Scrum teams, participate in sprint ceremonies, manage deliverables, and collaborate with global teams to ensure successful project delivery. - Provide production support, troubleshoot reporting and data pipeline issues, and recommend process improvements.
