The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in cloud-native data platforms, ETL development, data analytics, and modern software engineering practices, with a passion for solving complex data challenges at scale. Responsibilities - Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-based data engineering solutions with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. - Build and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines using GCP technologies and modern data engineering frameworks. - Develop robust applications and data services using Python and/or Java. - Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support analytics requirements. - Develop and maintain ETL workflows for enterprise data integration and transformation initiatives. - Work closely with Product Owners and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. - Participate in design reviews, estimation, testing, deployment, and production support activities. Requirements - 6-10 years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering, Data Platform Development, or Big Data Engineering. - Strong hands-on programming experience in Python and/or Java. - Advanced SQL expertise with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned data solutions. - Strong experience with BigQuery, DBT, and/or Looker. - Hands-on experience with Google Cloud technologies including: - Google Cloud Run - Google Composer (Apache Airflow) - Google Cloud Storage - Google Secret Manager - Google Dataflow (Apache Beam) - Google Pub/Sub - Google Cloud Registry - Apache Kafka / Confluent - Experience developing and supporting ETL and data integration solutions. - Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data analysis. - Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Google VPC & Networking. - Knowledge of Google IAM and Cloud Security best practices. - Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
