About the role
As a Safety Manager at our manufacturing facility in Jhagadia, Gujarat, your role will involve leading and strengthening the safety culture. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing, implementing, and monitoring site safety policies, procedures, and standards - Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company EHS policies - Conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and workplace risk assessments - Driving a strong safety culture through employee engagement and awareness programs - Monitoring and improving key safety performance indicators You will also be responsible for: - Conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) studies - Leading safety reviews such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives - Identifying unsafe conditions and practices and ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions Additionally, your role will involve: - Investigating accidents, near misses, and unsafe incidents - Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions - Maintaining records and submitting reports related to incidents and safety performance Moreover, you will be required to: - Develop and maintain emergency response plans - Organize and conduct mock drills for various emergencies - Coordinate with local authorities, fire departments, and emergency response teams To excel in this role, you should possess: - 10+ years of experience in Safety/EHS within relevant industries - Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and process safety management - Experience in incident investigation and emergency response management - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred skills include: - HIRA, JSA, PTW Management - Process Safety Management (PSM) - Emergency Response & Crisis Management - Fire Safety & Hazardous Chemical Handling - Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis The preferred industry for this role includes Agrochemical, Chemical Manufacturing, Specialty Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, and Process Industries.
