Technology Leader / Principal Architect Product Engineering Role Overview We are seeking a senior technology leader to drive the product engineering agenda for a global enterprise platform environment. This role is suited to a hands-on leader with strong architecture capability, deep experience building and scaling enterprise products, and a proven track record of delivering modern cloud-based platforms using Azure and the Microsoft technology stack. The successful candidate will combine strategic technology leadership with practical execution strength. They will shape product and platform architecture, guide engineering teams, modernize application estates, and introduce AI-enabled capabilities that improve scalability, resilience, maintainability, and long-term operability. Key Responsibilities Lead technology strategy, architecture, and execution for strategic products and enterprise platforms Translate business priorities into scalable, secure, and supportable technology solutions Define and drive target-state architecture for cloud-native and hybrid enterprise applications Lead product/platform modernization initiatives with strong focus on Azure adoption, engineering standardization, and long-term maintainability Partner with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to shape technology roadmaps and delivery priorities Drive architecture decisions across applications, data, integrations, security, resilience, observability, and support models Champion modern engineering practices and platform design patterns across the technology organization Introduce and scale AI-enabled solutions, intelligent automation, and agentic capabilities within enterprise products and workflows Mentor architects and senior engineers, and raise the overall quality of architecture and engineering decision-making Required Experience Significant experience in senior technology leadership, enterprise architecture, or product/platform engineering roles Proven track record of building products or platforms from the ground up and scaling them into production Strong experience leading architecture and delivery of enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure Deep expertise with the Microsoft technology stack, including: C# / .NET / ASP.NET Core Azure App Service Azure Functions Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Azure API Management Azure Service Bus / Event Grid o Azure SQL / SQL Server Cosmos DB Azure Storage Key Vault Microsoft Entra ID Azure Monitor / Application Insights Strong architecture experience across: Microservices API-led architecture Event-driven systems o Distributed systems Integration architecture Cloud security and governance Scalability, resilience, and operability patterns Strong understanding of how to design stable, maintainable, supportable enterprise application stacks Practical experience with AI-enabled product development, including intelligent workflow solutions, agentic patterns, enterprise automation, and governed AI deployment Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with ability to influence across technology and business leadership Ideal Candidate A senior technology leader with strong architectural depth and product mindset Comfortable operating across strategy, architecture, and execution Experienced in modernizing complex enterprise platforms Hands-on enough to guide design decisions credibly, while leading teams and driving outcomes writes code, builds prototypes, and produces working reference implementations to validate ideas and set engineering standards Demonstrates a prototyping-first mindset: defaults to tangible working artefacts over abstract slide decks to de-risk decisions and accelerate team adoption Passionate about using cloud and AI capabilities to create durable, enterprise grade products Preferred Experience in large, global, multi-team technology environments Experience in platform modernization, cloud transformation, and enterprise integration Experience establishing engineering standards, governance, and architecture best practices across teams Hands-on experience in Financial Services technology specifically Alternative Investments, fund administration, hedge fund platforms, or capital markets systems is a plus Familiarity with financial data workflows such as NAV calculation, fund accounting, investor reporting, KYC/AML, or LP/GP portal systems is an advantage
