About the program The IBM SkillsBuild Machine Learning and Applied AI Internship Program is a 60 hour experiential learning program designed to help students explore the practical side of Artificial Intelligence. Through a blend of expert led masterclasses, IBM SkillsBuild courses, and guided projects, participants will learn how to design, prototype, and build real world AI powered applications at zero cost through an online program. This internship bridges the gap between theory and hands on innovation by introducing learners to AI tools, app design workflows, and creative problem solving. By the end of the program, participants will have the skills and confidence to transform everyday ideas into intelligent digital solutions. Program Structure 60 Hours Total 15 Hours Expert led Masterclasses Interactive sessions conducted by AI professionals focusing on foundational and applied concepts, tools, and workflows. 15 Hours IBM SkillsBuild Self Learning Modules Curated courses and assignments from IBM SkillsBuild to strengthen conceptual understanding and practical knowledge. 30 Hours Capstone Project Guided project work where participants design and build a real world AI powered application applying the concepts learned. Students from Mechanical and Civil Engineering are also eligible. Internship duration is from 24 August 2026 to 30 September 2026. Attendance in all mentor led sessions is mandatory. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of all program requirements. Participants must have access to a PC or laptop with internet connectivity for hands on projects.
