Senior Database Specialist - PostgreSQL & MySQL

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL / MySQL Cross DB Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments across PostgreSQL and MySQL platforms within large-scale data center infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, replication, backup & recovery, security, migrations, and production support for mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in both PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, Linux administration, and high-availability database environments. Key Responsibilities 4- 9 Years of Hands on Install, configure, administer, and support PostgreSQL and MySQL databases across production and non-production environments. Monitor database performance, optimize queries, indexes, and storage utilization. Configure and manage replication, clustering, and high availability solutions for PostgreSQL and MySQL. Perform backup, restore, disaster recovery, and failover activities. Troubleshoot database issues including slow queries, locking, replication lag, and performance bottlenecks. Support database migrations, upgrades, patching, and cross-platform database activities. Implement database security, user management, auditing, and access controls. Work closely with infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams for deployments and operational support. Automate routine DBA activities using shell scripting or Python. Maintain database documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. Participate in 24x7 production support and on-call activities when required.
