Cross-Functional Engineering Technician - OCU - Technical - 1st Shift

Work as per the applied Mechanics lab schedule working hours 7 am to 3:30 pm (with 30 mins break) or 7 am to 3 pm (without break). While leadership maintains an open-door policy for flexibility and adaptability. Standard workweek is 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. #Deliver Business Performance and Transformation Demonstrate drive and determination, influencing team members to enhance productivity and encouraging cross-functional skill development. Lead and coordinate multiple tests/ projects concurrently, ensuring efficient execution. Facilitate the setup (hardware and software) of rig rooms or test cells and, once operational, transition to training and assisting team members to improve overall productivity and efficiency. Provide guidance on troubleshooting and setting up test cells or other testing areas. Conduct tests in test areas or cells when team members are unavailable due to vacation or other reasons. Identify and address daily needs, leveraging expertise and knowing when to involve other team members to resolve issues promptly. #Invest in our People and Organizational Effectiveness: Effectively manage, measure, and continuously enhance both individual and team performance and quality. Serve as the liaison between the technical team and the engineering team, reporting issues such as team dynamics, test cell concerns, and interdepartmental collaboration challenges. Support for MSU Wave initiatives. Provide all items for for check in / check out of equipment’s and cross charges. Adapting to the dynamic nature of applied mechanics, the Tech needs to shift focus among various tests and projects based on customer needs, ensuring a responsive and agile approach to the evolving demands of the field. Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
