Experience in Migrating from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2012 and from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2014/2016/2019 Experience in upgrading SQL server software to new versions and applying service packs and patches Monitor system s health and performance Analyze, solve, and troubleshoot issues in real time Handling daily issues (Blocking, long running Transactions, Deadlocks, etc.) Troubleshoot issues related to TempDB, Transaction log and System databases Experience with backups, restores and recovery and scheduling database backups, taking full and Transaction log backups Automate SQL server tasks (SQL jobs, Windows scripts, etc.) Auditing database configuration and security configurations Basic knowledge of SSIS & SSRS Hands on High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) like Always ON, Replication, Log shipping, Mirroring and Clustering Coding and scripting skills highly desirable Key Responsibilities: 6-10 years of database administrator experience. Ready to work in rotational shift. Working knowledge of MSSQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Azure. Coding and scripting. Aware of ITIL process.
