About the role
Position Responsibilities: Develop and allocate reliability requirements at system and subsystem levels . Use modelling, simulation and data analytics methodologies & tools including statistical and probabilistic analyses. Perform reliability analyses including: Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA) Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Serve as a technical specialist supporting other functional design groups during all stages of the airplane product development and support lifecycle. Responsible for aiding in determining program technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability & maintenance cost. Provide support in the following areas: Design for Reliability & Safety (airplane and system design reliability requirements validation & verification, reliability requirements allocation to suppliers, failure modes, rates, effects, propagation and detection analysis, architecture & operational provisions, safety & certification analysis, certification support, reliability & durability testing). Interaction with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management is typical, as is a high level of communication between the rest of the R&M Engineering internal organization, program teams, and functional design areas. Team involvement and individual effort, problem solving, and managing multiple actions and assignments will be regular duties for an R&M engineer. Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 3–10+ years of experience in aerospace reliability or aircraft systems engineering. Strong knowledge of aircraft systems (ATA chapters) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with propulsion or airplane systems Reliability engineering experience. Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) experience. Knowledge of commercial aircraft programs is preferred Location: This position requires candidate to work from Hyderabad Cyient location
