About the role
As a Software Engineer at Cytiva, you will be responsible for software development, verification, release management, and maintenance for new product introduction as well as product care. Your main focus will be to ensure that all software activities adhere to the Quality Management System, Cybersecurity process compliance, and meet committed timelines. Key Responsibilities: - Be part of new product development & product care projects for Life Sciences by meeting business-defined delivery metrics. - Participate in technical design reviews to ensure specifications, change management, and quality requirements are delivered in line with definitions. - Initiate/facilitate new project proposals and sustain legacy product lines by collaborating with Product Managers and incorporating customer inputs. - Collaborate with global and local cross-functional teams, support teams, and OEMs for product development and support. - Ensure compliance with Design History File (DHF), Regulatory, and other Quality Management System requirements, including training requirements. - Continually develop yourself and the team to meet project deliverables and career aspirations. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or equivalent. - Minimum of 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience in Software Design, Development, and product care. - Hands-on experience in languages like C, C++, VC++, C#, JAVA, Python, or equivalent. Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), OOAD, OOPS, Design patterns, Unit-testing frameworks, and Agile processes. - Understanding of data structures, algorithms, database queries for SQL, and Document-based databases. - Familiarity with interoperability between managed & unmanaged code, inter-process communication, and programming for software-driven instruments. Additional Details: Previous experience in design and development of Life Sciences systems and knowledge of the Secure Development Lifecycle will be advantageous. Prior experience in full cybersecurity compliance requirements of the Life Sciences industry and familiarity with Hardware interface layer and firmware code will be preferred.
