You may learn more about the company at: DAR Engineering - Home -- -- Position - Senior Engineer - Renewable Business Unit: Power Business Unit (PBU) Work Location: Chennai Experience: 8 to 12 Years - Senior Engineer Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related discipline Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Engineer with strong expertise in Solar PV systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and electrical engineering . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, engineering, commissioning, or managing renewable energy solutions for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications. The role involves developing technically compliant PV and energy storage solutions, supporting product selection, preparing engineering documentation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring successful project execution. Job Description: Design and engineer Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects. Perform system sizing, electrical calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination, inverter selection, battery sizing, and equipment specification. Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, Bills of Materials (BOM), technical drawings, and engineering documentation. Conduct energy yield analysis using PVsyst and evaluate project performance. Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS standards, utility interconnection requirements, and local electrical regulations. Review technical specifications and evaluate Solar PV, PCS, BESS, EMS, and inverter products from multiple OEMs. Support permitting, utility approvals, and technical documentation for renewable energy projects. Coordinate with EPC teams, suppliers, consultants, utilities, and customers during project execution. Participate in commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, and technical support activities when required. Support product development, technology evaluation, and integration of emerging renewable energy technologies. Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, project documentation, and customer presentations. Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, and Project Management.
