QE SDET Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain automation for functional protocol and system-level testing - Work hands-on in Python to establish reliable test coverage and test utilities - Develop and enhance test automation frameworks - Validate storage behavior across NFS, SMB, iSCSI, and NVMe protocols - Identify and troubleshoot failures, pinpoint root causes, and collaborate closely with engineering to resolve issues - Bring a quality-oriented approach to storage infrastructure and performance-sensitive scenarios Qualifications Required: Must-have skills: - Located in Pune, India - Previous or current experience as a QE, SDET, QA Automation, or Automation Engineer - 5-20 years of total career experience - Proficiency in hands-on Python automation - Experience with test automation frameworks - Direct familiarity with storage protocols such as NFS, SMB, iSCSI, and NVMe Nice to have: - Exposure to Ceph, Lustre, or GPFS - Understanding of networking fundamentals - Background in testing storage infrastructure systems or performance-sensitive products - Preference for individual contributor role with strong hands-on involvement Additional Company Details: DDN is in search of individuals who excel in building durable automation, enjoy working closely with protocols and system levels, are adept at debugging across software, storage, and infrastructure boundaries, prioritize technical impact over coordination-heavy tasks, and are committed to ensuring quality where details are crucial.
