Principal Data Integration Specialist

As a Senior Product & Data Engineer at Data-Hat AI, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying backend services that power Orkestras retail AI platform. Your role will involve working with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP to build APIs, workflow engines, action-tracking services, integration layers, and customer-facing data products. Your expertise in Databricks, Delta Lakes, Lakehouse, and medallion architectures will be highly valued in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and deploy backend services using Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP for Orkestras retail AI platform. - Develop APIs, workflow engines, action-tracking services, integration layers, and customer-facing data products. - Utilize Databricks, Delta Lakes, Lakehouse, and medallion architectures for efficient data processing. - Translate product requirements and customer needs into technical designs and deployable features. - Establish reliable integrations with various data sources including ecommerce, ERP, POS, WMS, SFTP, CSV, and Excel. - Work with customer data to investigate data issues, validate mappings, and reconcile datasets using SQL and Python. - Assist in mapping customer source data into Orkestras retail data model. - Implement data-quality checks, alerting mechanisms, reconciliation processes, and operational runbooks. - Ensure service reliability, logging, monitoring, tracing, error handling, and production debugging. - Build deployment pipelines across different environments and contribute to engineering standards. Qualification Required: - 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience with a focus on building and deploying customer-facing products or platform capabilities. - Proficiency in Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, cloud deployment, Docker, CI/CD, Git workflows, and secure API design. - Experience with asynchronous workflows, integrating with third-party APIs, and working with semi-structured datasets. - Knowledge of retail concepts such as product hierarchies, inventory management, sales analytics, and stock adjustments is beneficial.
