About the role
Role Overview: As a Principal Architect, you will serve as the visionary leader driving the future of the D&A ecosystem. Your role will involve strategically planning the platform roadmap while implementing technical solutions to address critical business challenges effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Define the evolution of the Azure/Databricks platform to ensure it remains at the forefront of industry standards. - Evaluate and pilot new technologies such as SODA for data quality and Astronomer for orchestration to address emerging enterprise needs. - Architect solutions for complex business hurdles including Databricks workspace segmentation, global data residency restrictions, and multi-tenant scaling. - Lead initiatives to optimize Databricks consumption and cloud spend while maintaining performance levels. - Design intricate integration patterns like CDC and Databricks Asset Bundles for large-scale systems such as Warehouse Management and AI products. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, with a minimum of 5 years in a Principal/Lead role within a large enterprise. - Proficiency in the Azure Data Stack and Databricks, particularly Unity Catalog and Delta Live Tables. - Demonstrated success in leading R&D and POC initiatives and transitioning them into production effectively.
