Java Architect (12+ years)

JavaTechnical Architect/ Solution Architect Expereince: 12+ years Location: Kochi/Bangalore Job Summary The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and leading the implementation of scalable, high-performance backend and integration architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and modern cloud technologies. This role requires a balance of deep technical expertise, architectural vision, and strong collaboration with business, design, and delivery teams. The architect will define technical standards, guide engineering teams, and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design Define and maintain end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise-grade applications and integrations. Evaluate existing systems to identify architectural improvements, modernization opportunities, and technical risks. Design microservices-based architectures that are modular, scalable, and resilient. Define API design standards, security frameworks, and cloud-native architecture patterns. Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements. Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership to backend and full-stack engineering teams. Mentor developers on software design best practices, cloud deployment, and CI/CD automation. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and delivery managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Oversee integrations between applications, third-party systems, and data platforms. Development Oversight & Governance Define coding standards, testing frameworks, and development workflows. Participate in architecture reviews and ensure adherence to design principles. Support DevOps teams in designing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Review and optimize system performance, database design, and API throughput. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks in the Java, cloud, and microservices ecosystem. Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and cloud-native solutions to improve system efficiency. Drive standardization, automation, and reusability across solution components. Qualifications & Experience Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience 12+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in Solution Architecture or Technical Architecture roles. Proven expertise in backend system design, distributed systems, and integration architecture. Hands-on experience designing and deploying applications on Azure or AWS. Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of OAuth2, Single Sign-On (SSO), and security design patterns. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as messaging platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent knowledge of cloud-native and containerized architecture patterns. Deep understanding of RESTful API design and enterprise integration frameworks. Knowledge of data security, authentication, and authorization frameworks. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence and guide technical teams in a distributed environment. Strong documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex architectural concepts clearly
