Back To Results (AMO4540) VR Systems Support Specialist Raymond, OH Contract Full-Time EB-1976744683 Apply POSITION IS LOCATED IN RAYMOND, OH Job Responsibilities: Perform technical health checks, configuration validation, and preventative maintenance on VR workstations, HMDs, tracking systems, rendering platforms, and AV systems within VR arenas; analyze system performance and identify configuration, integration, and compatibility issues. Analyze, test, and validate software and firmware updates before deployment to production VR systems, including evaluating compatibility, integration impacts, technical risks, configuration requirements, and system performance across VR/MR hardware and software platforms. Perform technical root-cause analysis for complex VR/MR hardware, software, tracking, rendering, network, and AV integration issues; design and implement configuration or integration solutions and coordinate escalations with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors when specialized support is required. Consult with engineering users to analyze requirements for VR design reviews, engineering visualization sessions, and VR events; define functional, technical, configuration, performance, and integration requirements and prepare appropriate VR/MR system solutions. Develop and maintain technical documentation for VR/MR system configurations, integration architecture, functional requirements, deployment standards, troubleshooting methods, cable and connectivity standards, validation procedures, technical risks, and solution decisions. Define technical configuration and functional requirements for VR/MR environments based on engineering-user needs, design-review objectives, system constraints, and production standards. Design integrations among VR headsets, tracking systems, visualization applications, rendering platforms, cloud-rendering technologies, workstations, networks, and AV systems. Evaluate alternative hardware, software, tracking, rendering, and integration solutions and recommend technical approaches based on compatibility, performance, reliability, scalability, supportability, and engineering-use requirements. Develop or modify Python scripts and related automation tools to support deployment, validation, configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, and repeatable VR/MR system operations. Create and evaluate prototypes and proof-of-concept configurations for engineering visualization, immersive design review, remote rendering, tracking, and mixed-reality use cases. Develop custom VR/MR system configurations and integration solutions to address engineering requirements, platform limitations, interoperability issues, and production-environment constraints. Establish and apply technical standards for VR/MR configuration, system integration, validation, deployment, compatibility, and production readiness. What will this person be working on: Responsible for analyzing, designing, configuring, integrating, and maintaining reliable VR/MR lab environments used for engineering visualization and design-review activities. The specialist will consult with engineering users to determine technical and functional requirements, design integrations among VR/MR hardware, tracking systems, visualization software, rendering platforms, cloud-rendering technologies, networks, and AV systems, and develop custom configurations that support complex engineering use cases. The specialist will evaluate alternative technical solutions, create prototypes and proof-of-concept configurations, validate software and firmware changes, analyze integration impacts and technical risks, and deploy approved solutions across production VR environments. The role will also develop or modify Python scripts to automate deployment, configuration, validation, monitoring, and diagnostics; perform complex root-cause analysis; support engineering sessions and VR events; and maintain technical standards and documentation for system architecture, configurations, integrations, deployments, and production readiness. Required Skills: Experience with any of the following is preferred: 1+ years of experience supporting, configuring, integrating, or designing VR/AR/MR hardware and software solutions in an enterprise or engineering environment Experience consulting with engineering or technical users to analyze requirements and define VR/MR system configurations, functional specifications, or integration needs Experience with high-end VR headsets, such as Varjo XR-4, Apple Vision Pro, Vive Focus Vision, Meta Quest 3, or equivalent Experience with VR tracking systems, such as SteamVR Lighthouse, ART optical tracking, or similar Knowledge of VR accessories configuration, including tracking pucks, haptic gloves, motion controllers, and related peripheral technologies Experience designing or configuring integrations among VR/MR headsets, tracking systems, visualization applications, rendering platforms, networks, workstations, and AV systems Experience evaluating hardware, software, rendering, tracking, and integration alternatives based on compatibility, performance, reliability, and engineering requirements Experience developing or modifying Python scripts for system deployment, validation, configuration, monitoring, automation, or diagnostics Experience developing prototypes or proof-of-concept VR/MR configurations for engineering visualization, immersive design review, or mixed-reality use cases Software Platforms: Autodesk VRED, IC.IDO, Nvidia CloudXR, AV System Integration, Microsoft Teams Room, and Python Scripting Experience in automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or other complex engineering design-visualization environments A stable work history with large enterprise organizations The hiring range for this position is $52.00 to $59.00 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions.
