About the role
As a Senior Manager / Technical Lead for the US Digital Health Platform based in Hyderabad with a full-time working model and overlap required in the US time-zone collaboration, your role will involve driving the modernization of the digital health platform. You will be responsible for combining backend/platform expertise, architecture judgment, DevOps awareness, and execution discipline. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to and drive target-state technical architecture - Guide backend, integration, and platform design decisions - Define and review API, service, and system interaction patterns - Support cloud, deployment, reliability, and DevOps discipline - Bring structure to technical execution and reduce avoidable rework - Help modernize legacy/monolithic systems in a phased, practical way - Ensure sound engineering practices around scalability, maintainability, security, and supportability Qualifications Required: - 8-10 years of relevant experience in backend engineering, platform engineering, solution architecture, or technical lead roles - Strong grounding in backend systems, APIs, integrations, and distributed architecture - Good exposure to Azure cloud environment - Practical understanding of DevOps/CI-CD/deployment/environment management/production readiness - Ability to independently drive technical discussions, design decisions, and engineering follow-through - Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work with ambiguity and still move things forward - Professional maturity to engage with engineers, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders with credibility Preferred Background: - Healthcare/HealthTech exposure preferred - Familiarity with HIPAA-aware environments is a plus - Exposure to HL7/FHIR/Redox/healthcare integrations is advantageous - Experience in modernization, platform evolution, or integration-heavy environments strongly preferred In this role, success will be achieved by quickly understanding the current system and future direction, adding value in architecture and engineering discussions early, bringing clarity to backend, platform, and DevOps trade-offs, improving execution discipline, and technical follow-through while operating with ownership, urgency, and low supervision.
