Data Engineer

Role Overview: As a Data Engineer at Deutsche Bank in Pune, India, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engineering solutions to achieve business goals. You are expected to have a good understanding of important engineering principles and possess root cause analysis skills to enhance and fix products. Working independently on medium to large projects with strict deadlines, you will collaborate with a geographically dispersed team in a cross-application technical environment. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze data sets, design, and code stable and scalable data ingestion workflows, integrating them into existing workflows. - Clarify requirements with team members and stakeholders to provide appropriate ETL solutions. - Develop analytics algorithms on top of ingested data as a senior developer. - Work on data sourcing in Hadoop and GCP, ensuring new code is tested at unit and system levels. - Operate as a team member of an agile scrum team, identifying bugs and issues for failures through root cause analysis. - Support Prod support and release management teams in their tasks. Qualifications Required: - More than 6 years of coding experience in reputed organizations. - Hands-on experience in Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines. - Proficiency in Hadoop, Python, Spark, SQL, Unix, and Hive. - Basic understanding of on-Prem and GCP data security. - Hands-on development experience on large ETL/big data systems, with GCP experience being a plus. - Experience with cloud services such as cloud build, artifact registry, cloud DNS, cloud load balancing, etc. - Familiarity with data quality dimensions like Consistency, Completeness, Accuracy, Lineage. - Business and systems knowledge in a regulatory delivery environment, especially in banking. - Passion for test-driven development and prior experience with release management tasks. - Experience in data visualization with Tableau is a plus.
