Job Description: Job Title: Engineering Lead - Data Infrastructure Location: Bangalore, India Corporate Title: VP Role Description DWS's data infrastructure team provides the secure, scalable and trustworthy foundation for storing, processing and distributing critical enterprise data. As Engineering Lead for data infrastructure, you drive the design, built, and continuous improvement of our cloud-based and on-prem data platforms and the pipes between them. You'll align closely with the CTO Data and lead a high-impact squad, setting technical direction, mentoring team members and contributing directly to architecture and code. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus Very strong expertise in the modern data stack, including cloud-based data platforms such as GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, and the ecosystem around them Extensive experience in operating production cloud infrastructure, especially Google Cloud, in complex enterprise environments Proficiency with IaC (e.g. Terraform), automation tooling, orchestration tooling (e.g. dbt, Airflow) Good understanding of data governance, security, and IT compliance in highly regulated environments Very good programming skills in Python and/or Java Experience with development utilizing software development life cycle (SDLC) tools including Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, OpenShift Experience in growing and leading highly performing engineering teams Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and attention to detail Fluent in English (written and spoken)
