FinOps Application ITAO / Engineer

Role Overview: The DB Cloud FinOps function is responsible for driving financial accountability of cloud consumption, providing insights into consumption, spend, and optimization/control options to ensure efficient management of cloud usage. As an individual with a strong background in GCP services, FinOps, and IT Application management, you will serve as the IT Owner of the FinOps Application platform on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. Your role will involve managing the FinOps Application, including the GCP landing zone and FinOps Looker instance, which are crucial components of the strategic cloud cost management function for the bank. Your responsibilities will encompass E2E platform management, such as creating and maintaining BigQuery datasets and views, administering billing exports, deploying Cloudfunctions, API integrations, and ensuring compliance adherence. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure the FinOps application is maintained in alignment with the Banks IT Security Risk, Audit, and Compliance requirements. - Provision and maintain GCP billing, recommender, and database services to support internal and external FinOps capabilities (e.g., BigQuery, GCS buckets, billing exports). - Provision serverless GCP services to automate key FinOps insights and optimization capabilities (e.g., Pub/Sub topics, Cloud Run, API queries, Cloud Functions). - Manage FinOps GCP IAM roles, permissions, and Github repositories. - Support the integration of the FinOps platform with other tools used within the bank (e.g., Jira, Looker). Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience in the Infrastructure & Cloud technology industry. - Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodology. - Proficiency in Terraform, Python, and Github (3+ years). - Proficient in GCP infrastructure and GCP services. - Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerQuery, SQL). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience in FinOps is preferred.
