About the role
Role Overview: You will be part of a high performing team implementing a strategic future state technology landscape for all of DWS Corporate Functions globally. As a Full Stack Developer with mainly DB and ETL experience, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to Project Proteus, which aims to transform DWS into an Asset Management standalone operating platform. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable custom solutions in a cloud-first environment, with a focus on data migration, system integration, and optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Create good quality software designs and demonstrate a strong sense of software design principles - Participate in hands-on code development and conduct thorough testing of developed software - Mentor junior team members in technical and functional aspects and review code of other team members - Manage daily stand-up meetings, articulate issues and risks to management, and provide support to US business stakeholders & regulatory reporting processes - Analyze software defects, work closely with stakeholders and other teams, and support testing on behalf of users, operations, and testing teams - Collaborate with business analysts and application developers to resolve functional issues, propose solutions, and troubleshoot functional area bugs on applications Qualification Required: - Bachelors Degree in Science or an IT-related discipline with minimum 10 years of IT industry experience - Proficiency in Informatica or any ETL tool, Oracle SQL/PL SQL, PostgreSQL, Cloud/Big Data technology, CI/CD tools (Team City or Jenkins), GitHub, and basic UNIX commands - Experience in Agile/Scrum software development environment, Control-M scheduling tool, and high analytical capabilities - Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, multitasking skills, and willingness to work autonomously - Nice to have exposure to PySpark, React JS, or Angular JS, and experience in automating the build process for production Company Details: DWS is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that values dialogue, diverse views, and fairness to drive a high-performance culture.
